In a prenuptial agreement, Britney Spears’ fiancé is said to want’substantial increases’ for every five years of marriage.
Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari’s prenuptial agreement is reportedly causing a holdup in the couple’s forthcoming wedding.
According to a source close to the case, Spears’ legal team is negotiating prenuptial terms with Asghari, 28, for “longer than typical.”
In the event that their marriage ends, Asghari is reportedly looking for “substantial increases” every five years.
According to a separate source, Spears has stayed out of the negotiations.
The 40-year-old pop diva is said to be too preoccupied with making the wedding day, which has yet to be scheduled, as memorable as possible, and has “no interest” in the prenuptial agreement’s financial details.
“Britney isn’t involved in anything,” the insider claimed. “She’s just letting her lawyers and Sam’s staff work it out.”
Part of the stalemate stems from both sides needing safeguards in the event of a divorce. Asghari’s crew is desperate to keep the promising actor from going bankrupt following a hypothetical divorce.
