Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer defends her dramatic weight drop for the Met Gala.
Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer claims that the reality star shed 16 pounds the “healthy way” in three weeks.
“I think one of the misconceptions is — she works really hard. I was there through the process and it wasn’t like a starving yourself type of thing,” Don-A-Matrix told TMZ.
“She’s been on a real balanced diet and at times she wouldn’t eat as much, but then the second thing was she went to the gym and put the work in.”
Don-A-Matrix, who has worked with Khloé Kardashian in the past, claimed that the Skims founder worked out “twice a day” on occasion.
“It’s possible to lose 20 pounds in a healthy way,” he noted, without giving a time frame.
Kardashian, 41, received backlash after claiming she went on a “strict” diet for three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s legendary Met Gala gown.
“To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are… because you haven’t eaten carbs in the last month…all to fit in a f–king dress?” “Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart, 25, wrote on her Instagram Story Tuesday. “So wrong. So f–ked on 100s of levels.”
The actress, who did not mention Kardashian by name, went on to say that celebrities admitting to “starving” themselves is “disgusting” given how many people look up to them.
“To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word,” Reinhart continued. “The ignorance is other-worldly disgusting.”
