Logan Paul, a YouTuber, signs a WWE contract.

The WWE has welcomed back Logan Paul. In preparation for a bout against his Wrestlemania tag team partner, former WWE Champion The Miz, the YouTube sensation inked a new contract with the business. There will be a match during this year’s Summerslam celebration.

With Triple H and interim CEO Stephanie McMahon by the star’s side, WWE made the announcement on Thursday. Paul won’t likely be a regular on-screen performer; instead, he’ll probably be a part-time entertainer who shows up at WWE’s major events, like Summerslam and Wrestlemania.

According to ESPN, the agreement will last through 2023 and may come to an end during Wrestlemania next year. Paul made his WWE debut alongside Sami Zayn last year, much to the dismay of the WWE crowd. At this year’s Wrestlemania, he and The Miz worked together to defeat Rey Mysterio and his kid and secure the victory.

Vince McMahon’s resignation as chairman as a result of hush money, which also involves senior official John Laurinaitis in the issue, has resulted in a turbulent few weeks for WWE.

Paul is without controversy, of course, but WWE signing him to a short-term agreement wouldn’t be the worst idea given the show’s declining ratings and growing injury list.

For the first time ever, WWE Summerslam will take place on July 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. Money in the Bank, however, will debut on PPV and Peacock on Saturday, July 2, before that PPV takes place. For live coverage of the event that evening, check back at GameSpot.
