Margot Robbie is set to star in Ocean’s Eleven prequel movie
Margot Robbie has been cast in the lead role in the Ocean’s Eleven prequel film being produced by Warner Bros.
According to Variety, the film is a heist comedy about con artists who scam a Las Vegas casino of hundreds of millions of dollars.
According to Variety magazine, Margot Robbie will play a rich burglar and con artist in the prequel to the Ocean’s Eleven franchise.
The picture is still in development at Warner Bros., with the only information available being that it will be set in the 1960s in Europe.
If everything goes according to plan, the next episode of the film will begin filming in the spring of 2023.
The fact that Robbie will be busy promoting another Warner Bros. film, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which is set to premiere on July 21, 2023, complicates the scheduling.
Ocean’s Eleven was re-released in 2001, and its critical and commercial success led to a trilogy starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt.
Oceans 11 from the 1960s was the inspiration for those pictures. Ocean’s Eight, starring Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, and Awkwafina and grossing nearly $300 million worldwide, was Warner Bros.’ most recent comeback to the franchise.
