Tom Cruise arrives at the premiere of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ in a chopper.
Tom Cruise knows how to arrive in style if there’s one thing he knows.
In San Diego, Calif., on Wednesday, the actor arrived in a USS Midway helicopter for the highly anticipated “Top Gun: Maverick” premiere before casually strolling onto the red carpet.
The 59-year-old, who is known for performing his own stunts in movies, arrived at the star-studded event as dapper as ever, dressed in a black tux.
Tom Cruise was beaming as he waved to a large crowd of adoring fans who had patiently waited 36 years for the sequel.
Fans were even able to identify a critical feature on his chopper: “Tom Cruise Top Gun: Maverick.”
In front of a sea of cameras, the father of three posed for photos with co-stars Jennifer Connelly, Monica Barbaro, and Miles Teller.
For the occasion, Teller, 35, wore a blue suit with a matching tie before putting on a show with his wife, Keleigh Sperry.
In the film, Teller plays Goose’s kid and Maverick’s new protege. Anthony Edwards played Goose, the co-pilot to Cruise’s character in the original.
For the premiere, Connelly wore a show-stopping gold gown, and she and longterm husband Paul Bettany were all smiles as they joined arms on the red carpet.
The sure-to-be-blockbuster picture was scheduled to debut in 2019, but was frequently postponed due to the epidemic.
Cruise plays a flight instructor in the eagerly anticipated sequel, which is set in a world of drone technology and explores the end of the dogfighting era.
Val Kilmer will reprise his role as Tom “Iceman” Kazansky, in addition to a stellar cast of new pilots.
The first picture was a huge hit, generating over $350 million worldwide on a budget of $15 million.
