More than two years after their breakup, Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich are officially divorced.
Brooks Laich and Julianne Hough are no longer married.
The former couple formalized their divorce on Friday after a judgement was made in the case.
The divorce agreement’s specifics were not immediately accessible.
After social distance separately during the commencement of the pandemic, Hough, 33, and Laich, 38, first declared their split in May 2020.
The former Dancing with the Stars pro and her hockey player ex-husband, who had been married for over three years, confirmed the news.
“We have taken the time we needed to come to our decision to split tenderly and wisely,” the couple added. “We have a great deal of love and respect for one another, and we will continue to lead from our hearts. We respectfully seek your consideration and respect for our privacy in the future.”
Months later, in November 2020, Hough filed for divorce. “They tried to work things out, but Julianne realised she prefers her independence. Brooks attempted to give it to her, but he had reached his limit as well.”
The declaration stated, “The parties have entered into a written agreement on their property and marital or domestic partnership rights, including support, the original of which is being or has been filed to the court.”
According to the records, Hough waived her claim to spousal support from Laich, and their arrangement was uncontested.
