A man from Florida sets a new record by watching Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times.
Between December 21 and March 22, Guinness World Record holder (Ramiro Alanis of Florida) watched Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times to reclaim his record.
While many people aspire to be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, Ramiro Alanis of Florida achieved his goal after watching Spider-Man: No Way Home a record-breaking 292 times. In 2019, the Marvel superfan smashed the record for most cinema presentations attended of the same picture by watching another MCU film, Avengers: Endgame, an incredible 191 times. Over the span of three hours and two minutes, the film follows several MCU characters in the aftermath of Thanos’ snap.
Alanis’ record from 2019 was surpassed two years later. With a total of 204 views of Kaamelott: First Instalment, the film continuation of the French series of the same name, Arnaud Klein beat Alanis’ attempt. From July 20 through September 20th, 2021, Klein viewed the video four times a day. Although 204 times may seem excessive in comparison to the previous total of 191, Alanis actually held an unofficial record of 202, with 11 Avengers: Endgame screenings being missed owing to restroom breaks.

Alanis isn’t the first person to hold this honour
Alanis isn’t the first person to hold this honour, despite his dedication. Joanne Connor held the record before to his first try. Connor went to the movies 108 times in 2019 to watch Bohemian Rhapsody, despite not being a Queen fan. Connor’s record does not include the additional 291 times she viewed the film at home after falling in love with the band and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Since its debut, Spider-Man: No Way Home has exploded in popularity, breaking records and becoming the sixth highest-grossing film of all time. The 2021 film grossed 1.891 billion dollars worldwide, with Alanis contributing 292 trips to see the film. Alanis has already been eying up other MCU films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness for rewatches but plans for a much more modest number of about five viewings. Many MCU fans can claim to have seen Spider-Man: No Way Home multiple times, but no one does it quite like Alanis.
