The Internet is giggling as the cat accepts his fate at the groomers, Funny Meow!
After a video of a cat accepting his fate at the grooming salon went viral on TikTok, the internet was left in stitches.
The video, which was shared on April 8 by Philadelphia daycare, boarding, and grooming shop Groom & Board, has over 550,000 views.
The text overlay teases that the black cat is going through the three phases of grief—denial, anger, and bargaining—as he is being washed.
He is seen having his fur blow-dried in the next footage, with the text overlay stating that he is struggling with the final two stages of depression and acceptance.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) states that a clean cat is a happy cat, despite what this feline may be telling everyone who will listen.
Cats’ own built-in grooming tools (their tongue and teeth) are usually more than enough to keep them clean.
However, the ASPCA recommends giving your cat a wash if it is extremely unclean or has gotten into something sticky or smelly. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) recommends removing claws before bathing your cat for your own safety.
They also emphasise the necessity of lavishing praise and favourite foods to your cat after they tolerate a bathing session.
